How to avoid account deactivation?
How to avoid account deactivation?

In this article you will learn the reasons for account banning and how to avoid it.

Updated this week

Reasons for account deactivation:

  1. Prohibited Merchant

  2. High Decline Rate

  3. Fraudulent Activities

  4. Farming

Avoid Payments to Prohibited Categories

Certain types of goods and services may result in account blocking. Do not use your cards for payments related to:

  • Physical goods (clothing, groceries, marketplace items).

  • Dating sites, 18+ content and adult services.

  • Financial transactions (currency exchanges, cryptocurrency services, money transfers).

  • iGaming (betting, casinos, and other gambling activities).

Monitor Your Decline Rate

Try to maintain a low decline rate:

  • If your decline rate exceeds 70%, you will receive a warning.

  • If your decline rate exceeds 80%, your account will be blocked.

Avoid Fraudulent Activities (Fraud)

Any suspicion of fraudulent behavior may lead to immediate account deactivation. To prevent this, do not:

  • Use cards for illegal or suspicious transactions.

  • Alter transaction details or share your account with third parties.

Do Not Engage in Farming

Farming refers to generating a large number of low-value transactions, which is a common reason for account blocking. To avoid issues:

  • Avoid a high number of zero-value card authorizations (cards should be used for real payments).

  • Ensure that spending per card exceeds $5.

  • Reduce declined transactions and chargebacks.

Pay Attention to Warnings

If you receive a warning or notification about a violation:

  • Do not ignore it.

  • Review your transactions and adjust your actions to comply with the rules.

By following these recommendations, you can ensure the stable operation of your account and prevent possible blocks.

If the rules for using the service are violated, the account may be blocked without a guarantee of withdrawal of funds.
